Robyn Clissold, Social Hive - Digital Marketing for Law Firms.

Robyn Clissold is the owner/operator of Social Hive; digital marketing for law firms.

Robyn has spent the best part of 30 years working in the legal industry and has amassed a detailed and uncanny understanding of what drives online users looking for legal services.

The legal industry in particular, has been slow to the digital marketing age over the last 10 years or so. In Robyn’s most recent employee role, as the Marketing Manager for a mid-sized plaintiff firm, she recognised the power of online marketing very early and embarked on a plan to put her firm ahead of the crowd. The plan put in place turned out to be one the most lucrative planning decisions made at that time.

Since those early days, the firm’s client conversion to paying customer as a result of internet referrals has continued to grow.

“But make no mistake, this is not simply a matter of luck”, says Robyn. There is a process and a set of ‘must haves’ for firms to develop and grow their online brand. Robyn now works with several Australian law firms, implementing those ‘must have’ components to drive and grow their digital presence.

In this session, we'll walk through a few of the primary initiatives that individual lawyers, and the law firm as a whole, can implement to drive their online presence.

  • The why, what and how of blogging
  • The relevance of Facebook for Australian law firms; organic use and paid advertising
  • How lawyers, and their firms, should use LinkedIn
  • The importance of your firm’s Google My Business listing
These are the low hanging fruit opportunities for law firms to strengthen their presence, develop their brand and get ahead of their competitors.
