Join us for a discussion about the importance of having costs agreements, time narrations and costs disclosures in order. Antonella Terranova from Castra Legal Costing will lead the discussion and will provide some insight about what happens when a costs agreement or bill is challenged and what you can expect if you ever have to appear before the Costs Court (as a reminder about the importance of getting things right at the start).
Antonella Terranova was admitted to practice in 1997. Antonella worked in the area of personal injury litigation for 12 years; the first six working in top tier plaintiff law firms (Howie & Maher; Maurice Blackburn) in area of Victims of Crime and road accidents and the last 6 years as Solicitor for the Transport Accident Commission.
Since 2010, she has been Co-Director and Principal of Castra Legal Costing Pty Ltd. Antonella has practiced exclusively in the area of legal costing appearing regularly in the Supreme Court at Mediations, Taxations, leave and other applications. Her specialities include Assessment of Costs, Itemised Bills of Costs, advices and Notices of Objections, expert reports and affidavits as an expert in security for costs applications. Antonella runs seminars and assists in file management to maximise efficiency and costs as well as working in legal education.
Antonella also has degrees in Psychology and Criminology, and she was a winner of the LIV Suburban Lawyer of the Year award and continues to be an active member of LIV.
