Building the capacity of a legal team is a core management function for Legal Managers. High-functioning legal teams exhibit a commitment to skills development, transparent and robust communication, as well as a sophisticated approach to the delegation and management of workflow. This session will explain key cultural and behavioural drivers of high-functioning legal teams and provide practical strategies to maximise the capacities and potential of your legal staff.
Ben Richards co-founded Aticus consulting with Tony Burke, MP in 1997. For the past 20 years he has consulted and trained on best communication practices to major Government agencies and top tier professional services firms throughout Australasia. Ben’s core business is facilitating effective communication.
To this end, he has coordinated the bid presentations for infrastructure projects worth over AUD$20 billion, is engaged by the Victorian Bar as a trainer and has authored a number of National Press Club addresses.
His interest in delegation practices in law firms goes back to 1998 when he was asked to examine the issue by a major Australian law firm. He was worked in that area ever since.
