Event Overview

In 2014, Deloitte conducted a study on their Performance Management process and found that 58% of their executives believed their PM approach didn’t drive employee engagement or high performance.  They also discovered that their approach to performance management – based on an annual 360-degree feedback process – was wasting 2 million hours per year across their workforce. This was the catalyst to radically redesign Deloitte’s performance management process.

Sophie Conabere is leading the implementation of the new performance management process across Deloitte Australia where there is a shift away from annual performance evaluation to a process of continuous coaching and improvement.  Sophie shares her experience on implementing a new, re-invented performance management system, and will discuss:

  • Re-inventing Performance Management - the case for change

  • The new framework - Fuel, Understand, Recognise - built on strengths

  • How do we still manage poor performance?

  • How does the new RPM framework change the way we coach people?

  • What are check-ins, pulse surveys, performance snapshots and talent reviews?

  • How does technology drive this new approach?

  • How do we assess the linkage with compensation?

  • What do you need to do to change your current methods?
